As we age, our body produces less and less of certain substances. An example of such a substance is GABA, also known as gamma-aminobutyric acid. As we get older we produce smaller and smaller quantities. Supplementation with GABA can provide a solution in these circumstances. GABA Plus contains 250 mg of purely absorbable GABA.

Lower dosage required due to melting tablet
The method of supplementation is decisive for the absorption of GABA. A GABA tablet or capsule of 500 mg or more sounds promising, but the absorption of GABA in tablet or capsule form is downright mediocre. Research shows that the structure of GABA is too large to pass through the intestinal wall. Even healthy intestines do not absorb the nutrient well. We therefore opted for a melting tablet for GABA Plus. By choosing a lozenge, an apparently low dose of 250 mg is sufficient!

Direct and better absorption through melting tablet
Various studies also support the better absorption of GABA through the oral and buccal mucosa. Not only does the body absorb the nutrient faster in this way, but taking it with a melting tablet also significantly increases the quality of absorption.

For complete absorption of the nutrients, Vitakruid recommends placing the tablet under the tongue for at least 10 minutes. This way, all substances in the quantity offered can reach the bloodstream. And don't worry, the natural strawberry aroma makes the tablet a party for the taste buds.

Necessary cofactors for the conversion of GABA
GABA is formed from the amino acid L-glutamine. A process that does not take place without effort. The body needs so-called cofactors for the conversion of glutamine to GABA. These activating nutrients ensure that glutamine can actually be converted into GABA. For this mutation, the body uses thiamine (vitamin B1), magnesium and l-taurine, among other things. Nutrients that are amply represented in the GABA formula. In addition to providing an adequate dose of GABA, this formula also supports the body's own GABA production!

Magnesium taurate and vitamin B1 make GABA more effective
Magnesium taurate is a combination of the amino acid l-taurine and magnesium. This combination not only serves as an enhancing factor for GABA absorption, but also has a valuable function in itself. The binding to l-taurine also makes it easier for the magnesium to cross the blood-brain barrier; the place where the mineral is effective.

We also associate a low thiamine intake with reduced GABA effectiveness.

Usage
Allow 1 melting tablet to melt under the tongue 1 to 3 times a day (approx. 10 minutes). Stick to the recommended dosage.

Storage instructions
