The green-lipped mussel gets its name from the light green edge along the outside of the shell. The mussel only occurs in the New Zealand waters of Marlborough Sounds, where the shellfish can flourish optimally in unspoilt nature. The green-framed mollusk naturally contains a high concentration of essential fatty acids and glycosamine glycans. In addition to green-lipped mussels, the patented Ovomet® also plays a leading role in this formula. This eggshell membrane naturally contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, glucosamine, chondroitin, keratin, lyzozyme and more than 500 proteins.
