Lactose is a milk sugar found in milk-based dairy products. Your body uses the enzyme lactase, produced by the small intestine, to digest this milk sugar. When lactose is broken down, the sugars galactose and glucose are released, which are easily digestible by the body.

70% have too little lactase
About 70% of adults worldwide have too little intestinal lactase, which means they have difficulty digesting lactose. If your body does not produce lactase or produces too little, the milk sugar enters the large intestine undigested. Here, the bacteria in this environment cause the "fermentation" of lactose, causing the body to send out all kinds of unpleasant signals.

3000 FCC per capsule; suitable for children and adults
When you eat lactose products, it is useful to estimate how much lactase you need to digest the lactose consumed. We indicate the strength of the lactase with the unit FCC. How to use lactase
If you have difficulty digesting lactose, you need on average 2 – 5 capsules to digest one glass of milk. However, this depends on the extent to which you can digest lactose. We therefore recommend starting with a low dose and building up from there to see how much you need.
